Through this accreditation, we review and approve educational programs of all sizes, supporting organizations in delivering excellence in nursing education.
If your educational activity meets the definition of nursing continuing professional development (NCPD), it may be approved to award nursing contact hours. The ANCC defines NCPD as “those learning activities intended to build upon the educational and experiential bases of the professional registered nurse for the enhancement of practice, education, administration, research, or theory development, to improve the health of the public and RNs’ pursuit of their professional career goals.” (ANCC, 2025).
