Numerous instances of individuals in the community of people of color have become more literate financially, or have access to financial guidance resources and yet still do NOT take the sound financial actions to move them into a stronger financial position. This is in direct relationship to the deficit of confidence around making financial decisions. These dynamics are directly related to systemic discrimination as well as a legacy of discrimination in the U.S. financial system. Regardless, communities of color can now more than ever utilize strategies & tactics to not only enrich themselves but also leave a financial legacy for their families and community at large. Bringing awareness to the community around what financial confidence is, what it feels like, and how it is directly related to inaction. Specifically, we want the audience to recognize deficits in their confidence and to equip them with the tools that can help boost their financial confidence and perhaps encourage others.
